Young artist fighting Leukaemia

Panya Sos is a young Cambodian girl who is fighting T-Cell Leukaemia. She needs your support with her fight against cancer.

Panya passed her London Art College Graphic Design Diploma course with a mark of “Distinction” – the highest grade. The teacher had some very encouraging praise and suggests she apply for programs to continue her art studies. She is still working on her English.

Panya and her mother are in discussions with the Ramathipodi Hospital doctors about having surgery in the coming weeks to correct damage in her bones in the hip area caused by chemotherapy. From what I have heard (from Panya), the doctors said the surgery is relatively minor – perhaps arthroscopic. The level of chemo given is being dramatically decreased from the early days.

We are waiting to get more information, and there are very long queues at the large public hospital. Funds for treatment are exhausted so Panya will be seeking support so she can continue treatment and have the surgery.
