Commercial Interior Design business on a budget

Course: Successful Interior Design

Rebecca has recently been awarded a certificate of Merit for the completion of 13 modules from the course Successful Interior Design and is now managing a successful and thriving Interior Design Practice in Eastbourne. Since enrolling she has given up a career in Marketing to care for her two young children and study her course.

During her studies Rebecca redecorated some rooms in her house and began to build up contacts with tradesmen. One of these traded a day of tiling for advice on his home. From this she was then inspired to open trade accounts and set up her business at home offering advice to clients and providing recommended tradespersons when requested.

She does not advertise, making her business solely on client recommendation and has completed jobs for mostly private clients. She has recently completed a commercial job where she has redesigned and re-branded a Window and Furniture shop; from this she is now the shop’s exclusive Interior Designer. Her upcoming jobs now include a Café and a 27 bedroom hotel.

We are very impressed by Rebecca’s resourceful and clever approach to starting a business on a limited budget; making the most of her time and receiving such high recommendations from her clients.
