Ideal Schools: Award-winning courses in bookkeeping and accounting

Ideal Schools aims to provide high quality tuition services in Bookkeeping & Accounting subjects, meeting the needs of their students, whether they wish to pursue a self-employed career as a bookkeeper/accountant, or gain an employed position within an accounting environment.

These services are provided primarily by distance learning using online training and textbooks, where all courses are fully tutor supported; ensuring students receive appropriate guidance throughout their study and beyond. For over 35 years, we have provided thousands of students the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge, hence allowing them to improve their career and earning potential.

ICB, AAT and CPD qualifications

ICB is the largest bookkeeping institute in the world and we are able to offer you full tuition toward their full range of bookkeeping and accounting, payroll and taxation qualifications: Gaining membership of the ICB has many benefits and is the perfect way for you to start your bookkeeping career. Through your membership you will receive advice and guidance on how to start your own business, and also continued support when your business is up and running.

We recognise that those already working in an accounting or bookkeeping environment must keep their knowledge up to date. For this purpose we have had specialist courses accredited by the CPD Certification Service, allowing us to provide our expert training, and providing certification based on assignment work, with no final exam.

We are immensely proud that the hard work of our tutors, students and our support services have been recognised many times over. We work hard as a college to ensure our students are properly supported, and they reward us with their own dedication and hard work. Anything is possible with hard work, as these success stories show.

Why become a bookkeeper/accountant?

The UK has over 5 million private sector businesses, a number which is growing by around 250,000 per year. An even more impressive figure – and one especially relevant for you – is that 99% are micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Many of these MSMEs will need help to fulfil the two most important legal requirements they’re asked to by HMRC: returning financial reports each year and the recording and paying of any staff. It is a legal requirement to maintain financial records and submit accurate reports to the relevant authorities as regards tax, VAT PAYE etc. Many MSMEs struggle to keep up with the recording of financial details, tax returns, VAT returns etc…and sadly mistakes can prove very costly!

Ideal Schools provides a complete range of bookkeeping, payroll and taxation courses to help you become a self-employed bookkeeper or work within a financial environment.
