Teacher into Journalist

Courses: NCTJ Magazine journalism

Ian enrolled 2 years ago, at which time he was a teacher, teaching English in Poland. He passed all of his NCTJ exams, including an astonishing 96% in law – he is in the running for a national NCTJ award.

This summer he secured a job as a sub editor on the Travel Trade Gazette, the prestigious B2B magazine.

Ian is living proof of the fact that you can study anywhere, and can facilitate a difficult and ambitious career change, through distance learning. He would never have made the transition using the traditional college route.
